With the Switcher plugin for 3ds Max® you'll get the renowned Maya® workflow within 3ds max! Switcher allows you to use the same mouse and keyboard accelerator keys to navigate your viewports, make selections, and snap objects together in 3ds max as you would in Maya. Artists that use both 3ds max and Maya in production will save time and energy with a unified user interface. Additionally, Switcher has many flexible settings that allow for certain features to be toggled on and off depending on how you would like to work. Features - Maya viewport navigation (Rotate/Pan/Zoom with Alt+LMB/Alt+MMB/Alt+RMB)
- Maya selection keyboard accelerators (Add/Subtract/Toggle with Control+Shift/Control/Shift)
- Maya time scrubber "sticky" accelerator
- Maya snapping "sticky" accelerator (Grid/Point/Curve/Angle)
- Flexible options dialog
- Fully Compatible with all the new Graphite Modeling tools!
- Compatible with 3ds max 6, 7, 8, 9, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 (32 and 64 bit)
- Also compatible with 3ds max Design 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 (32 and 64 bit)
Graphite support Some of the new Graphite modeling tools in 3ds max use Alt+Left-Mouse-Button (Alt+LBM) for specific functions. Since Alt+LMB is used as the Orbit hotkey in Maya, we remapped the Graphite tools to Middle-Mouse-Button for only those functions that are set to use Alt+LMB.
Please note, Switcher doesn't automatically reassign any hotkeys. You can download them and load them manually from the sample "Maya-esque" hotkeys created for you below: Video on adding hotkeys Hotkeys File for 3ds Max 8 Hotkeys File for 3ds Max 9If you're using a Pen input device, you may have the Windows TabletPC service enabled. That service can cause a slight slow down in your 3d navigation, and it's recommended that you turn it off. Here's how: http://dRaster.com/help/DisableTabletPC/
