To unify the user experience of 3d Viewport/Object Transformation, and Sculpting within Zbrush, Maya, and Mudbox (as well as a few other Alt-centric navigation apps).
ZSwitcher does NOT change your hotkeys in ZBrush. ZSwitcher does, however, remap some of the default keyboard/mouse mappings, but in a way that tries not to defeat any of the ZBrush features. For example, Alt+LMB is normally used in ZBrush for the ZAdd/ZSub toggle brush (inverse), but since the Maya/Mudbox convention uses that keyboard/mouse combo for Orbiting, we needed to remap the ZSub function to Ctrl+LMB. Of course, ZBrush uses the Ctrl+LMB for its masking tools so we remapped that to the TAB key. You'll find a full listing of every ZBrush function that is remapped using ZSwitcher on the
ZSwitcher Remap Grid page. Left, Middle, and Right mouse buttons are listed as LMB, MMB, and RMB respectively. Please also note that your keyboard/mouse mappings revert back to their default ZBrush settings when you Disable or Uninstall ZSwitcher.
In order to mimic the Maya or Mudbox brush size and strength adjustment functions, you'll need to manually assign their respective hotkeys. To do that, expand the ZSwitcher options (ZBrush > Zplugin > ZSwitcher > Assign Brush Hotkeys), then Ctrl+Alt+RMB click on the Size (Draw Size) button and press any keyboard button to assign it a hotkey (b is the default Maya hotkey for the brush size function). You can repeat these steps for Strength (m). Now you can hold down on your assigned hotkey, and LMB-drag left or right anywhere on the canvas to interactively adjust your brush size or strength setting. Finally, it should be noted that the default hotkey for the Mask brush is set to TAB, but it can be changed. For left-handed artists, it can be preferable to assign the Mask brush to a key on the right side of the keyboard. Please use the same same technique described for the Size and Strengh tools to change the Mask hotkey.
